I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us! |

2011-06-03 8:20 PM Down by the riverside It's been over the top gorgeous in NYC the past two days. Clear, sunny, blue sky. Lots of wind, but that's okay. I'm working on the loose galleys of GHOST HERO which means I can work outdoors. So I have been. Green pencil, thermos of tea, me at a table in the park by the river. The wind's been bringing out the sailboats, beautiful to watch especially in the late afternoon as the sun lays down a sparkling path across the river. Clyde the Clueless gadwall duck has been hanging around the section of the river just south of me, where the garden is; Mrs. Clyde was hanging with him for awhile, and is now not seen. This likely means she's nesting there, as she has for the past four years, successfully, no matter what I thought of the idea. Not clear whether we have any nesting mallards; had two clutches of goslings but I fear none made it. Will the geese try again? Who knows? Stay tuned.
