Thirty-eight Saturday, from St. Louis
Seven pigeons perch,
Peer down at waking city,
Watch a crow wing by.
Two pigeons take off,
Flap wild spirals in gray sky,
Vanish behind dome.
Four new pigeons land,
Spacing themselves carefully.
Cornice ornaments.
