me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

Love, actually

Saw two gray squirrels playing hide the salami where the ivy grows on the back fence. This may explain Squirrely's urgent need to get his nest repaired on that rainy, sleety day: He was already in love. He needed his abode to be at its best before he brought his squirrel squeeze home. They'd better be careful, though. It's awfully early for this kind of carrying on. You don't want to try to raise baby squirrels in February in New York in a nest in the top of a tree.
