In my continuing effort to make my short stories available for download, here's one I wrote for an anthology of dog stories edited by Jeffrey Marks. I'm a sucker for sappy animal stories but I didn't want to do one. I was despairing just a little, having committed to the book, when a story in the newspaper sparked this.
