Unseen airplane roars
Above thick low cloud ceiling.
Gives ferry soundtrack.
Gulls screech in for bread,
Fight over lumps. When it's gone,
Float, hoping for more.
Fluorescent sneakers,
Green, with matching socks. Runner
Waking us all up.
