Young robins chase mom,
Startle cardinal from branch.
Catbird sits and stares.
Pawlonia pods
Have all opened, dropped their seeds.
But yard's been mowed. Mulch.
No clouds. Sun pours down,
Throws tree's silhouette across
Diamond-studded grass.
