Half-moon in streaked sky.
River here white, there bright blue.
Sun throws long shadows.
Benches sittable,
Pathway melting ice, puddles.
Friends stop by to chat.
Bufflehead swims near,
Stops, gives us time to admire --
Then lifts, arches, dives.
