*sigh*

So guru noticed pothos was alternating between swimming sideways and popping up like a cork last night. At this point I still don't know what is wrong with the fish, but I think it will all be better addressed once he's had a thorough cleaning of the tank. I always dither on this point because the beta books I have say to grow algae for healther fish but don't let the water go stagnant. I'm still trying to determine where the fine line between these states is.

In the mean time, fish is now back in his bowl as a temporary home. He was having trouble dodging the filter last night. I think he's happier to be in a round, non-agitated environment again. When he gets tired he can just lean on the wall. I've rinsed out the tank stones and whiped everything down with hot water. I've removed the carbon filter and just put in a plain sponge one. Tomorrow (or maybe this evening) I'm going to try a "fizzy tank buddy" that is suppose to remove any fungal or bacteria presense in the tank while still being safe for the fish.

And then we'll see.

Found ourselves iced in today so missed the grand bruhaha at church that is the annual meeting. I spent some time this morning on the acme form, which has reasserted the fact that I am no evangelizer. I could tell by the number of times I got up and walked away from the desk to get away from a particular question. I did alright with questions that are sort of in my classics background (What is the bible?) but was much more wiggling during other questions. (What does the bible teach about the unevangelized?) I might share some of my answers at some point but not now. I did answer them and that is really half the battle. I hope to do some more unpleasant tasks today (like thanks you notes) just to get them out of the way. Then I might file. Never thought "filing" would be a highlight.

And some day we might game again...
