The compartment is coming together. No pictures available yet, but soon, I swear. Still too many boxes out in the open, but we are slowly consolidating them down into the cloests.

I do have to say, we have some damn yappy dogs down the way from us. Now if you know me, you know I am the last person to really harp about yappiness. But these 2+ get set off and they will keep it up FOR HOURS. It just makes me keep thinking about the condo rules of only one pet under 30 lbs per apt...hm...

We are now armed with poker and insto-logs. So as soon as it gets cold enough we will make the fire marshall weep and use our fireplace. Hopefully more than once.

We have a lead on a couch, which is about the only thing we really are missing. All we have to do is borrow a truck and get a few hands to help get it in our place. Fortunately it isn't going any farther the the front room. Everything else will have to wait.

Weather has been cheery the last few days, so much for that hail and thunderstorm we had early last week. We were advised by friend in MO that we should a) get up to the mountains before the weather sets in and b) get chains for our car. Chains?! Ah, what kind of weather do you people have around here? Blah. I do agree though, that it is time to plan our great escape to the mts to see what all the fuss is about. Hope to get guru scheming soon on that.

I took last week off and I feel a lot better about life in general. I've also started looking at the bank statements and such and realize that I need to get my butt in gear and find work. Too bad all the job offers I've gotten so far have been spam. (boo) I threw in my hat at a few local options here, one a wild life museum, another deus ex machina, and some bouncy artgrrls. Hope some will at least write back. Aq has been quet this week, so I will need to call over there mon and see if I need to do anything else to get work. I might just take something dumb that pays the rent, until they can come up with something better. There is no shame in filing, right?

I hope to get shopping for something to wear next week in hopes of an interview in my near future. I'm about shopped out though. I was hit over the head with a Target store friday, and have no inclination to go back out to get stuff. Ah well, Catch 22. Need clothes for work. Need to work to buy clothes. So it goes. Teach me not to give a hoot about fashion in den. ;)

I've finished up the great big honking book of Amber, which was a great cross-country read, and am starting the Dark Company series again. Writing idiosyncrasies aside, the first of these books was really fun to read, especially now that I know what's coming. I look forward to reading it with the whole story in mind now.

I do want to say thank you to everyone who has been praying for us. We've just gotten a whole new batch of notifications of new prayer folks. Hope to get back to everyone in the next couple of weeks. Until then, Thanks!
