Well, since my library card is not working on the amazing denverlibrarywebsiteofdoom, I'll talk to you people. It's funny. Guru and I manage to get library cards on two different county library systems. Now we can get any book we want. The world will be ours!

Sometimes things really work at my house. For instance, my top kitchen drawer sounds *EXACTLY* like the scooby-doo sound effect when someone runs into someone around a corner, or is surprised. *doink* It's awsome.

I've also been playing around with the podcast thing. I'm desparing over what is actually out there that is considered talk radio. I thought with some national selection that there might be more than 2 view points, but no. All same, just the pundant changes. :/ Not a moderate in the whole bunch. Foo. I miss my news and weather on the eights. KQV 1410AM knew which way the wind blows.

We had a nice 4th, though it was a bit somber. Can't explain it, but neither of us were very perky yesterday. Today has been better. I am really beginning to think that eating lots of carbs makes you sad, which is counter everthing I've ever believed. Chocolate does NOT solve all your problems apparently! Foo.

Work is going along swimingly. Friday I was waxing between annoyance and obsession. Had to work really hard at letting go for the weekend. Spent a lot of time doing laundry and playing civ. Thinking about practicing, but I never got the viola out of the case. See non-perkiness above.

Right now I'm finishing up Dune by frank herbert. It is one of the grossest series I've read in quite awhile. Just when you think its bad, he finds some new way to be disgusting. Blah. I don't think I'm going to go on past the 4th book unless any of you have read further and can give me advice about it. Any other books I should read, preferably non-disgusting?
