It's mid-afternoon and I am not in a good mood.

In addition to my internet connection not behaving, my monitor died.

Thank goodness for the Katrina laptop. It definitely comes in handy.

I hadn't planned a visit to Best Buy for a new monitor today, but they might be closed tomorrow. If I go there this afternoon they will be open tomorrow. If I don't, they won't.

Re: the internet, I think I need a new modem. I will discuss this with Charter (provider) on Monday.

On the other hand, I did a bit more yard work this morning and my burn pile is getting bigger and bigger. I think tomorrow is a definite burn day.

I just realized that I can phone Best Buy!! The other day I got the newest Bell phone directory, even though I am no longer a customer. They may just deliver to everybody, with the cost being absorbed by the yellow pages ads.

(Sirens on the road, and a car with flashing lights. It's the ambulance. The man a block away is in really bad shape, and this is not the first time the ambulance has been there. The wife hangs in there, and they also have a thirty-something Down syndrome daughter living with them. We all wonder when it will be the last ambulance trip.)

Time to make that phone call and (probably) go spend some money.

And maybe do some more yard stuff.
