It was only a couple of days ago that I binged and read all day. Today was another of those days.

Today's book is The Peace War by Vernor Vinge. It's the first of a trilogy, and I guess I'd better visit B&N and/or half.com to get the next two volumes.

I didn't plan on reading all day. But, after an early trip to the big blue box (except that they're repainting it with more beige) to get the dry dog food I'd forgotten last week, I settled down to read the Sunday papers. About the time I finished the papers my body told me it needed a sinking spell. So I sank (napped.) And woke up two and a half hours later.

Well, the day was pretty well shot by then so I started to check the books within reach to get another one started, and picked this one first. I expect to finish it before I go to bed. After all, one cannot leave a book with only about 50 pages to go, can one?

I think I had given thought to vacuuming today--guess that will go on tomorrow's agenda. I have some letters that need writing, but I'm not in the mood tonight. The post office will be closed Tuesday (Mardi Gras) so even if I write them tomorrow they won't go out till Wednesday.

If anybody needs rationalizations for procrastination, just come to me! I'm an expert.
