Where did all the syringes go that used to be in a certain drawer? The ones I use to Frontline the cats.
You see, it doesn't matter whether the cute little vial has enough stuff for a cat or an 80 lb. dog--the price is the same. So I take one of the dog ones, empty it into a small jar, then syringe it out. And there's about the right amount for three cats. I figure Fatso (Fabian) needs a bit more than the girls--he probably has double the surface area of either of them. Well, the cats are due for their annual shots one of these days so I'll get more syringes from the vet. My vet is working in Slidell only MWF since Katrina, and he's no longer doing any surgeries. (The office where he did surgeries was washed away by Katrina.) I need to call him Monday. I was happily drinking my coffee and reading at PJ's this afternoon when my phone rang. It was a friend who now lives in Ohio. BK we usually had coffee at PJ's on Saturday. Luckily, she's on Verizon also so the calls were free. I was telling her about what's been torn down etc., from shopping centers to giant apartment complexes on the east side of New Orleans. She asked if I'd been down the street leading to where used to live, and I haven't, other than a few weeks after Katrina when the rubble from the camps lined the roads to the height of where the telepone lines had been. Of course I got almost no reading done, but it was nice chatting with an old friend. Tomorrow I'll flea spray all the carpets, then vacuum the next day. That should keep the little beasties under control! Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
