Time seems to be flying by. Of course, a year is half as long as it was 35 years ago. Now it's 1/70 of my life; then it was 1/35. Didn't someone say that Time is Relative? For YGD a year represents a third of her life.

Enough drivel.

Today was "pamper me" day--I went to WalMart and not only got my glasses adjusted, I also got a pedicure. That was it--although if I'd been so inclined I could also have had my hair done, picture taken, and bought a license plate. Oh yeah--and done my banking if I banked at Capitol One.

WalMart has replaced the village square.

I now have four local phone directories. I got the first one a while ago. 2, 3, and 4 were by my mailbox this morning. They are the same issue as the first. Why three? I couldn't figure that out till I came home from my afternoon stuff and saw several places with multiple phone books placed by the mailboxes. One per mailbox.

I have a large yellow mailbox, but attached to it are two smaller ones for the newspapers. I guess brains and thinking skills are not a prerequisite for phone book delivery. The boxes for the newspapers are clearly labelled with the newspaper names. Guess the deliverer figured there was a family named Times-Picayune and another named Sentry-News living somewhere on the property.

The weeds from about a week ago finally got dumped into the pool. I looked closely at something floating near the surface about three feet long that was either a stick or a snake. It was the latter, but it was dead.
