Yesterday Fabian managed to get into the closet while I was hanging up slacks. By the time I had the slacks hung he was waaaay into said closet, and essentially unreachable. I figured it was easier to leave him there than to try to get him out. He weighs 21.4 pounds (as of a week ago) and it takes two hands to pick him up.
He was still there this morning, but he goofed--he came out to see what I was doing when I was getting dressed. And I quickly shut the closet door. Needless to say, he gave me a very dirty look when he discovered his nice dark comfy (the bedroom slippers etc. on the floor) nest was no longer available. So Fabian is out of the closet. And the bandit visited again last night, This morning I found the trash can on its side, a couple of feet from its usual place. But he didn't get it open! And at work today---there I was, about noon, sitting with my feet up in the "lounge" area in the lobby, eating my lunch and reading. And the person coming down the stairs looked somewhat familiar. She looked at me and said "Sue?" And I actually figured out who she was--I'd had her for a couple of classes back in the very early 90s. Since then I'd run into her at a "thing" hosted by a Slidell friend who teaches in Baton Rouge at Southern University of Louisiana. Wonder if I'll run into her again. Most of the profs I had (or knew) at Tulane have retired or moved on to greener pastures. It's almost 15 years since I've had anything much to do with Tulane. I guess today wasn't totally unremarkable. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
