And there will be growth if we keep on getting about the right amount of rain.

People who are reading older entries must be wondering what I'm talking about, but you "regulars" know--I get bored easily and change colors every month.

One of the people from "upstairs" stopped to chat a bit, and I found that I had been "volunteered" to tell some interns next week all about the archives. The archivist is in some place like Iceland, and the assumption has been made that since I've working with them for more than a year, I can explain stuff. I shall spend the weekend and Monday meditating on this. (I'm not working Monday and these people aren't coming until Tuesday.)

I spent the better part of today reading about the proposed privatization of the New Orleans Sewage and Water Board back in 2001/2002. This was during the period of the mayoral campaign. There are the arguments put forward by Those In Power, who wanted to privatize i--supposedly to their friends--and those who saw this as another instance of a For Sale sign on the city.

And how many of you know what the billboard that says "Yats and Who-Dats love their Zats" means?

It's June 1 and Barry is in the Gulf. All the maps etc. say he'll come ashore in Western Florida, then continue on across Georgia etc. tilll he's back in the Atlantic.

A weekend ahead of me in which there is no lack of things to be done--only a lack of energy and a surplus of good old procrastination.

So what else is new?
