Grumble, rumble

That's what the sky is doing. Either that or the One who Holds up the Sky has a serious indigestion problem.

It's summer--therefore it thunders. With luck it will also rain and cool things down and make my weeds grow faster.

Back to work today. With one thing and another I made it only one day last week. But the Curator of Books and Archives (that's her official title) is back from an extended trip. I think Iceland was mentioned as one destination. There were other places too. She was wondering where the acid-free folders had gone, and I told her that the area where I'd last found them is snugly wrapped in visqueen because of the leaky roof.

So today I started entering the inventory lists into the computer. And I discovered that the downstairs printer is in desperate need of an ink cartridge. Oh well--I can always have it printed upstairs, if I can figure out which printer is the one in the general area (as opposed to an office.)

But I was lucky today, weatherwise. No rain in the morning commute, and none in the afternoon, although a large, very dark cloud was not too far behind me. (That's the one grumbling now.)

I haven't seen much news lately, but I guess the world hasn't ended. Or a certain someone started actually thinking. What's the Countdown to Change? Maybe I'll figure that out this evening.
