The Jimmy just pulled out of the driveway, under its own power and sounding pretty good.

Thank goodness!!

The man who bought it said probably one of the kids would end up with it. Cleaned up and waxed it should be a moderately "cool" vehicle. Once he got it running, it sounded great.

And tomorrow I shall call GEICO and tell them to take it off my insurance!

I am soaked, and my hair is soaked--high humidity and heat. The light rain cooled it down, but added to the humidity. I shall set the alarm a bit earlier for tomorrow and wash my hair in the morning--unless I can summon the energy to do it tonight.

I've taken one shower already today--I spent about half an hour this morning up front weeding the driveway and FINALLY fixing the mailbox. I wasn't able to hacksaw off the bolt, but I was able to secure the (red) duct tape on the broken side with a paper fastener--the kind that has two prongs and spreads out. Don't roll your eyes guys--it works.

I went to PJ's after lunch and rented their AC for the price of a large iced coffee and a cranberry muffin. And I started reading a Joan Hess book. This is her Claire Malloy series, as opposed to the Maggody books.

This morning was spent looking for the car title. I finally found it, more or less where I expected it to be. And, of course, the searching led me to a bunch of stuff that no longer needed to be saved--things like auto insurance documents from 2004 and a host of little notepads--the kind that come as a "free gift" from some agency that wants a contribution. So the search was productive in more ways than one.

Trying to remember if I had supper this evening. I was pretty busy looking for stuff for the Jimmy.

I'll compromise and have a Slimfast.
