Well, not quite all day, but on again, off again since about noon.

But I was inside being very virtuous. I had the vacuum out!! And was using it! I changed the type of cat litter I was using in the back of the house, which meant a lot more cleanup. But the bathroom looks really neat (in both definitions) now.

So does most of the rest of the house. I left the vacuum in the den for convenience--and a reminder. Tomorrow I plan to tackle the major job of cleaning the front porch. The plastic bags holding the strands of plastic leaves that I never quite got around to putting up have shattered totally. (I think the cats helped.) And a (formerly) dirt-filled pot (or two) got knocked off the table. I can't imagine how ;). And then there were the wasps. Although I thought I'd vacuumed up all the dead ones, I missed some. I finally figured out how they got onto the porch--there's a small hole (made by them) in the floor. I need to close off that hole also.

I was finished with what I'd planned to do a little after noon, so I took Cabinet of Curiosities to PJ's and spent the afternoon there. I sort of had to -- (rationaliztion ahead) -- it started raining just as I got there.

By the time I left for home it had almost stopped raining. And it's lovely and cool now.

The forecast for tomorrow is about the same as for today.
