Getting Ready

I know that I really have to pack this evening, but I haven't made any decisions on what clothes I'll take.

I have my "purse" (a lovely tote) almost ready--I just have to put the ticket info, money, and meds in it. I think. (And an extra pair of undies in case my checked baggage takes a detour.)

I don't think I have ever started packing for a trip any earlier than the evening before, so I'm right on schedule.

My neighbor came by to chat a bit this afternoon and I took the opportunity to tell her I'd be gone and Janice (the pet sitter whom she has also used) would be coming by daily. Then we chatted a bit more.

And YD stopped by, with YGD in tow. Anna (YGD) immediately went looking for my cats and found Fabian. Fabian did NOT get all shy and accepted her petting. (He really does like his petting.) She's got a cat so she knows how to pet them.

She was curious about the baby and young child photos on my bedroom wall. I pointed out which was Mommy and which was Teetah (Aunt Sherry). It's always strange when you see pictures of grown-ups when they were your age and younger.

So, my big job for this evening is tossing clothes into a suitcase. And it is a LOT easier when you are not packing for a very rural area in an underdeveloped country!

And tomorrow I'll be off.
