It's Friday because I don't go back to work till Monday. Working the first three days of the wweek without a break pays off--hopefully.

I made it to work and back--my fourth N.O. round trip since my last refueling--without having the little gas pump light go on.

It was a really hot one outside, but I was working happily in an air-conditioned building. I definitely felt sorry for the workmen trying to rebuild Tulane's underground drainage system.

Little by little Susanne's papers and memorabilia are beginning to make sense. I spent all of today on files relating to several books she wrote about Mandalas, including a couple of visits to Amazon to get publication dates on the books.

My sweet and loveable monster cat tends to have a built-in barrier to overeating. He gets to the kitchen counter via a bar stool. He has to get a running start to jump to that height, and he has managed to knock the stool over (before scrabbling his way onto the counter) so often that the seat won't stay on any more. I guess I'll tie the seat on and see if that holds.

This morning I had a rabbit sitting on the lawn. I've pretty much quit putting out bird/rabbit/squirrel food with the loose cat. Guess I'll have to go back to that. So far, the largest thing Lady has caught has been the mouse. She gets lizards sometimes, but they can climb house walls so lizard tartare is seldom on her menu.

I need to get up (and get moving) early tomorrow. The parish came by with the mowers so at the moment sides of the road are almost weed-free. I need to get the remaining ones by the mailbox and the bridges. And if I don't get moving early I'll talk myself out of doing it without any trouble at all.

So, for this week, it was TGIW.
