Yep--same old, same old heat. I cannot recall when we have had so many days in the upper 90s, and I have lived here for the past 31 years, as well as four years in the 1960s.
On the bright(?) side--this weather is not conducive to hurricane development. Bought a piece of fluff this morning, and read it this afternoon while "renting" the AC at PJ's. I also bought a novel by Daniel Abraham--science fiction. It looks interesting. As far as "constructive activity" goes, I guess grocery shopping was it for today. It's been too hot to even think about weeding or similar activities. I'm neither a mad dog nor an Englishman and I avoid not only the noonday sun, but general hot sun days. I guess I'll try to get up early enough tomorrow to wash the sweat out of my hair. At least in this heat it dries quickly. And since it's a work day I won't feel an ounce of guilt about the weeds in the driveway. Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
