. . . to remove the (sweaty) upper torso undergarment.

I am "in" for the evening and not expecting anybody to stop by. Therefore, time to be comfortable.

After I showered and started yet another load of soggy clothes I read a bit, then headed for PJ's and their AC. I got a lot of reading done there, and finally headed home by way of Walgreen's, where I had a prescription waiting for me.

Today's mail had a couple of books about mandalas I'd ordered--both of them with lots of mandalas to color. While at Walgreen's I also picked up a set of fine tip felt markers.

And, as long as I was there--and Blue Bell pints were still two for $3--I got a pint of chocolate covered cherry ice cream and another pint of mint chocolate chip. Those are two very nice ways to get calcium. (And serotonin from the chocolate.)

Today's e-mail had the Newcomb disaster plan. Oh goody--I am #6 on the call list. And there are long lists of collections currently stored downstairs that need to go upstairs for safety from flooding.

I really hope we don't have to utilize the plan.

The day-long lunch originally planned for today had to be cancelled due to a new person in the Spring Hill College administration who decided that, since nothing had ever been scheduled on this particular day, he'd schedule a "must" meeting for department chairs. My friend was NOT HAPPY.

We're tentatively hoping for Thanksgiving break, but family stuff will no doubt intrude.

I can't say it's been a totally unremarkable day because of the heat, but otherwise it's been a smae old, same old.
