Another Incredibly Unremarkable Day.

However, I did get all those make-up tests graded, to the accompaniment of a large iced coffee and a cappuccino chocolate chip muffin. All that's left in the "grade" pile are a bunch of maps, and they take (almost) no time at all.

Last night I swapped body heat with the little girl cat (Lady) who makes herself a really comfortable nest on the side of my stomach. She's even nice enough to not get mad at me if I make a mid-night trip "down the hall," but just repositions herself when I return and starts purring again.

At one point last night I half woke up to a sort of chirping sound that seemed to come from the patio. I suspect that it might have been conversation among the masked visitors. The raccoon food dog biscuits were all gone by the morning.

Today was election day (again) but I didn't vote. There were only a few items on the ballot, and since I am not impressed by either of the Attorney General candidates I figured I'd pass on that one. I think most (if not all) of the local office that affect me got filled in the first election. However, a couple of the TV stations have scheduled "the usual" coverage that starts an hour before the polls close. (Boy, am I getting cynical in my old age.) That's okay--I always have unread books.

As I said--another IUD.
