2008-04-25 7:07 PM Day 1 (again) Read/Post Comments (0) |
It's the start of another four-day "weekend" for me.
And it began with an emergency trip to WalMart. No, I wasn't out of chocolate. It was to get my glasses fixed. The screw holding the frame around one lens had loosened, then dropped out completely. I have tiny tool for this sort of thing, but I wasn't sure I'd be able to see it well enough with my sunglasses on to fix it. Somewhere I have the previous pair of glasses, but at the moment I can't remember where. They're probably in my travelling stuff. So, it was off to WalMart. The repair took maybe three minutes and then I went hunting for a cart to pick up some stuff as long as I was there. No functioning motorized carts available (not all that unusual) so I used a basket. I shopped more than I'd planned to, and my knees and back were quite tired by the time I finished. One of these days I'll write to them and suggest they a) maintain their existing carts better and b) perhaps invest in some more. Anyway--after I got back home and had a bite to eat I had a sinking spell of about an hour. At this point, I have fed the feline beasts, talked nicely to the visiting cat--although it still stays clear of me--but I need to put out the food for the possum and raccoons. The possum continues to be a very efficient eater--not a crumb of dry cat food remains. I should probably eat an apple so the wild critters have the core to demolish. And I need to put out the dog biscuits for the raccoon. And, of course, watch the Hornets game. Go bees. Other than, another IUD. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
