2008-09-26 11:30 PM Poor Pogo Read/Post Comments (0) |
Pogo had a terrible time this evening getting his(?) supper.
I was in the den, which meant I had to walk by him to get to the bathroom. I waited as long as possible, then apologized to him and did my thing. He disappeared, so I imagine he took refuge in one of the bedrooms. A few minutes after I returned to the den I heard nom nom nom again. Then Lady was being a royal pain outside. She sat outside in the window casement and every once in a while acted like she was going to pull at the screen. Eventually she won (and Pogo lost) and came in. She pretty much settled on the couch with me. After a bit she started walking around, making Pogo nervous. So I went to the kitchen quickly (even so, Pogo took off) and put out crunchies for the cats. Finally, I gave up and headed for the back of the house. I gave Pogo time to head out the front and so now I am in the back of the house with two cats keeping me company. I can't tell from here if Pogo came back to finish off the last of the crunchies I put out. The raccoons, of course, came shortly after I tossed out the dog biscuits. They must live fairly close [the garage comes to mind :( ] or they have outstanding hearing. Or both. I will not be surprised to hear nom nom nom in the middle of the night.
