I realized yesterday that, if I was going to do my "usual" two days of work this week, I needed to go in today. Friday is a holiday at Tulane.
So--I got there just before 7 AM and put in a very productive day and left just before 4 PM. I can't believe I stayed awake--I had a really hard time getting to sleep last night, but I guess what sleep I did get was the "quality" stuff. And nothing even the least bit remarkable happened--at least that I noticed. The drive in was effortless, and so was the drive home. I was leaving the eastern edge of the city when I realized that there had been no slowdowns near the high rise--and it was after four in the afternoon. Scratch that remark about nothing remarkable. No slowdowns even on the way home at 4ish PM IS remarkable. So I have managed to say essentially nothing about a day that was only a notch or two above incredibly unremarakable.
