Two cats, plus the warmer afghan and I still don't feel the need to light the furnace. It gets very cozy on the couch.
Today was essentially normal. I went in to work, got my usual prime parking spot, and ran into the librarian as she was unlocking the building to get something she needed. She then dashed back home so I finished the unlocking and deactivation of the alarm. There is some kind of art show coming up and there were several people moving things around and who knows what else. And tomorrow a three-day book sale begins. I have just about decided to show up again next week. When I'm in the middle of getting something organized I am spread out all over the place, and I have a feeling that between the super art show and the book sale things will not be calm and quiet. I'll e-mail the librarian tonight or tomorrow. And by staying home I can take advantage of this gorgeous fall weather, pick up downed pine cones and small branches from Gustav, and burn some of the stuff. My neighbor just called me to say that she has the Mobile Vet coming on Thursday, in case I need to bring any animals over. She has a bunch (at least half a dozen) cats and a dog, so having the vet come to the house is the only thing that makes sense. My train of thought got just about derailed by the long conversation. Pogo just came for supper, but waddled away when I looked at him and said hello. This should be my chance to get back to the den with the least disruption of the animal population. And I will need both cats again tonight for warmth. Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
