Another brilliantly uneventful day.
I'm still borderline plagued by the feeling that I should not stray too far from "home base." But--I ran out of toilet paper! Not a sheet left in either bathroom. Tissues get the job done, but don't decompose in the septic tank as quickly, so I try to limit their usage. So--after lunch I headed for the post office to mail out various household business stuff, to the bank to deposit a Medicare check (that's about the only time I physically go to the bank), and thence to Walgreen's to remedy the paper situation. PJ's is right behind it, so that was my next stop. And luck was with me--my lawyer friend was there, so we had a nice chat. Last time we saw each other she told me about a great book she'd just finished. That evening I ordered it and today it arrived. However, first I must finish Category Seven. It's moving along quite nicely. Once I "set it free" I'll bet it doesn't stay on the shelf very long--that topic is too close to home. Weather has cooled down to where the furnace came on a couple of times during the morning, and it just now came on again. (It's evening.) I expect it will be another two cat night. Most of this morning was spent on household bookkeeping etc. There's more I need to do tomorrow. I'm "in the mood" so I'd better delegate tomorrow to that. The cooler weather also came with much higher barometric pressure. My hips and knees are very grateful!! When I'm done with the last of the bookkeeping I'll get at yard work. Much easier to get up enthusiasm for that when it's cool. I've opened up the "cover" for one of the skylights and the cats are taking advantage of the sun it lets in. Opening that also gives better light in the piano/sewing machine area. (On the minus side, it also shows the dust etc. far too well for my tastes.) And I guss that's enough blithering for an Incredibly Unremarkable Monday. Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
