My feelings exactly!!

And I finally have a working fridge.

I called the outfit Sherry recommended this morning just after 8, and two guys (one of whom takes his kids to Sherry) were here by 10. They were very efficient once they had found the place where they could turn off the water to that little line to the ice-maker.

It was quite a challenge, especially since there's a lot of weedy growth around there, most of which is happy to cover your clothing with its babies--stickery seeds.

And--their charge was also reasonable, unlike the outfit I used to use. I hope I don't need their services again, but if I do I will definitely be a return customer. Having them show up two hours after I called--when it was NOT an emergency--is impressive.

I'm not quite done transferring stuff, but I'll finish that tomorrow, and then retrieve the frozens from the freezer in the garage. The guys will pick up the old one later in the week.

The new one is slightly smaller than the old, but there is a very limited space and I didn't want to exceed it. Besides--a single woman doesn't need 18 cubic feet. I think the old one is/was 15, and the new one 14.

No trophies from Lady today (yet). I have mixed feelings--I'm not happy when she gets a bird, but quite happy when she gets rodents.

And tomorrow is election day. I still haven't decided just when I'll go to the polls. Somewhere I heard the suggestion that noon to 3 PM was usually the slow time--relatively speaking. Polls are open here from 6 AM to 8 PM. I consulted with an attorney (son-in-law) for his recommendations on judges. Even the race for the LA supreme court judge has its share of mud-slinging.

Can't really call today an IUD with all the hunting for the water shut-off. I know where the main one is, but trying to find the one for that little water line was quite a challenge.

Now for the usual mindless drivel that masquerades as evening TV.
