In the hall, next to my washer/dryer, there is a marvelous "linen" closet. There are a couple of drawers on the lower part, and three shelves on the upper.

It has the usual chintzy fasteners that do not have a good track record for staying closed. And a certain cat has found it very easy to pop those doors open.

She just did this, and pulled down three towels and an agfhan. I put the stuff back, and hope I closed it firmly enough that she won't be able to repeat the performance in the near future.

I don't know what her problem is--she's wandering around the house, saying something in her calimese voice, but I cannot translate.

And on the subject of cats--especially the calimese--I cannot understand why--when she has easy access to the Great Outdoors--she insists on coming inside for you-know-what.

(Which reminds me--I again forgot to sweep the front porch. Add that to tomorrow's to-do list.)

This afternoon I went out to look for the coffee house that several people have mentioned. I finally found it but I didn't go in--maybe I'll do that tomorrow. It is nowhere near as convenient as PJ's was, and it isn't near any place I usually go. But I'll give it a try. At least you don't have to go through humongous traffic to get there.

I started reading a book about female science fiction writers--and now I'm going to have to check out some of the books mentioned. I don't think I've read anything by one of the authors mentioned.
