I spent most of this morning doing stuff related to the upcoming (in July) vacation. I called the tour agency to verify that the starting date listed in the catalog is the day we fly to Hungary.

And then I got online to find a decent flight for my companion from California to here. I settled (tentatively) on one that leaves in the evening, and gets into New Orleans at an early hour on the day before departure. That will give nap time to compensate for the stops at somewhere (Santa Fe? Las Vegas?) and Houston. She'll be flying over the Gulf from Houston, and will be able to see all the hundreds of oil rigs. With my luck, the vacation flight will bounce through Houston. Or Atlanta. Or Washington, D.C.

I spent most of the afternoon at PJ's reading about early Mesopotamia and transition to male deities in all important aspects of religious and political thought.

To recognize Earth Day I wore my shirt with the stylized person on it below the caption "Endangered Species." One stranger noticed it and made a positive comment.

I think I'll get back to the yard work tomorrow and wait till Friday to go in to work.
