Decided that weeding relatively early took precedence over everything else today.

And the green stuff along the patio side is now almost all more or less a similar length. This is only a portion of what needs weeding, but it's progress.

And the burn ban has been lifted. Tomorrow I shall take advantage of that. But first I'll pop the freshly charged battery into the weed whacker and even out the green stuff on the other side of the driveway where I park when I have a burn pile going.

Of course, there's still inside the house that needs tending to, but these days with rain in them have done a good job of keeping the temperatures down.

I went out for an early supper and stopped at Big Lots on the way home. I was looking for a small rake. They didn't have any in the toy department, but I found something that looked even better. Tomorrow I shall put it to use.

I e-mailed the archivist that I wouldn't be in till I got back so she doesn't wonder what happened to me.

Stripe was sitting on the (outside) porch when I got home. I'm sure he had been inside the screened area to eat the other half of CC's daily food. He curled his lip at me to say hello.

I put out more dry food for the evening eaters. Last night I spotted a small possum on the front porch looking very nervous. It must be one of this year's "crop."

Basically, it was an IUD, but I'm beginning to feel better about the appearance of the yard.
