After all, I had to find out next week's opponents.

Since I dozed off a bit, I think it's the Vikings. In fact, I'm pretty sure of it.

And then I recalled the first home game after Katrina, and how just about everyone stood up for almost the entire game. I sit on the aisle, so I saw the game (between standing bodies and heads) on the giant TV at the end zone while sitting comfortably.

A phone call to YD to see if she would like the second ticket, and she definitely did. So she and hubby will be watching the try for a conference championship. And I'll be at home, quite comfortable, with free drinks etc. If I'm going to watch it on TV, I might as well be comfortable (no shoe, no bra).

Other than that, it's been a quiet day. I even managed to sneak in a short nap during the second game.

CC and Spots are getting to be somewhat companionable. Today they touched noses when Spots came into the room.

Weather today has been cloudy and coldish. With more of the same tomorrow.

Hard to realize it's more than halfway through January already. It was quite a few years that I was "living" by an academic calendar. Although I'm still in an academic environment, the place of work doesn't have semester breaks and deadlines. And, since I have keys, starting time is up to me. And, as noted previously, I take full advantage of that for the sake of close-by parking.

CC must feel she hasn't been getting enough attention. She's on the table, and getting my attention by twitching her tail. I am "saving" practically every sentence, because I have learned that a tail thwack can delete what I have just written.

And on that note I shall close, than cover my keyboard (I doubt that cat hair is good for it) aand head for the den and the end of the current football game.
