And more rain.
Not torrential, but it just keeps coming down. The yard has some serious puddles in it, as do the streets. Boy cat evidently learned his lesson yesterday, and has spent almost no time outside. I drove to the mailbox/paper tube again. I'm getting good at the maneuver to have the boxes right next to the driver's side of the car. Fortunately, the street has very little traffic. I don't think tomorrow will be too much better, weather-wise. And the people to the northeast are going to be covered in the white stuff. The Post Office issued some Super Bowl commemorative envelopes. I think the news said there were sold out by about 11 AM. They are going to print more. Local caterers are working overtime, with so many Superbowl parties. I rather imagine the crime rate will drop a bit while the game is being telecast. Saturday is election day in the city. Offices are up for grabs from the Mayor on down, including the coroner. I don't recall whether the incumbent is running--he's had the job for forever. I don't need to know just who is running for what--I'm not in Orleans Parish. At this point, I'm getting tired of the rain, even though the cats shift into cuddle-close mode.
