Darned Low Pressure Systems

The old "jokes" about aching "rheumatiz" predicting rain actually have a factual basis. The lower atmospheric pressure lets the joints be a bit "looser." High pressure tends to "hold them in."

And my hip is telling me that there is rain on the way. The weather radar confirms it. The hip confirms the weather radar. I hope the rain is not the flood that its aching level suggests. (Had to check the dictionary to see if that definition of soreness was spelled correctly.)

On the other hand (knock wood and cross fingers), the toilet gulped down two "shots" of Drano, gave a sigh of relief, "burped", and happily sent everything down to the septic tank.

About time, too. CC was NOT happy to find her water bowl (aka half bath toilet) was not available, due to the seat riser normally in the "regular" one.

So, the cats are now happy, and so am I.

Guess I'll have to do as the old ads used to say--"once in every week, Drano in every drain."

Meanwhile, I shall try to finish the Eve Dallas book this evening. I don't recall seeing anything on the TV schedule that sounded exciting or interesting. And my unread (mind candy) book count is over six at the moment.

Back to the mindless TV as background to New York City in 2059.

I had planned on going in to work tomorrow, but unless my hip feels a LOT better that will have to wait a bit longer.
