I have, without a doubt, the world's most fantastic neighbors.

I may have mentioned that my mailbox died. Well, my neighbor volunteered to replace it.

Yesterday I bought a new one--and numbers--and this evening they came over. The man did the replacement work, while his wife and I solved the world's problems. She got to see a couple of young raccoons up relatively close when they headed for the front porch and supper. The cat (Spots) also watched.

She and I listened to the banging involved to remove the old one. (My husband always did very thorough installations. Bay--the guy--commented on this.)

At any rate, I now have a mailbox that opens and closes. I hope the carrier appreciates it.

I passed along one of the black and gold "Champions" shirts that I got from the Blood Center. Even though it also says "Blood Center" it was appreciated.

I am now scratching at several spots where mosquitoes dined, but that's minor. I enjoyed the socializing.

I shall also enjoy my new mailbox.
