At home again.

Not too much choice when the car is in the car hospital.

Weather wasn't too bad, but now it's clouding up seriously. Some imminent evening rain will cool it down, even though it will raise the humidity. You can't have everything.

A lot of today's TV coverage was about Obama's trip down here again. He seems to be listening to the people who are familiar with the coast and the marshes. He also seemed to say that ultimately BP would pay.

This "event" underscores our greed for petroleum products. And the question comes up--do we really NEED all that "climate control" equipment at home? What's the difference in your fuel bills between August and, say, April? December? June?

Many people will say yes, but what are the long-term costs to the planet?

I live in the New Orleans area, and I have a single window unit (AC) for my house. It's in the computer room. I have good cross-ventilation in all but one room, and I also have a fan in each room. My electric bills don't vary a whole lot from winter to summer.

(Short break while I spray a wasp that got inside.)

On to other subjects.

Hmmm. Can't think of any other subjects.

Oh well, that happens when you have an Icredibly Unremarkable Life.
