My Incredibly Unremarkable Life

It's June.

Significant dates in my family include my birthday, OD's birthday, OGD's birthday, father's day, my wedding anniversary (no longer applicable), and probably a host of other "events." Oh yeah--fathers' day.

Today was a really blah day. Weather was (barely) okay, and in the afternoon I took my newly repaired car to the car wash. It wasn't very busy, but that might have because it's the middle of the week.

Weather now is suggesting that it may rain again. It's thundering.

The Word of the Day (according to my calendar) is afflatus (emphasis on the second syllable). My first thought re: the word was that it was related to flatulence.

Definitely not the case: it's "a divine imparting of knowledge or power; inspiration."

My pressure sore continues to be annoying, Did I mention that it's a pain in the a**? Oh well, I see the doc again in a couple of weeks.

Time to check on whether the local critters have come to scrounge supper.
