... brilliantly exciting day, that is. (NOT!!)

I took care of the heat factor via the OPAC method. I lounged around at the PJ's by I-12 and got some reading and other stuff done.

CC has taken possession of a new place to sprawl--the top of the refrigerator. I don't really get why, since heat rises, but maybe there's enough cold seepage from the freezer on top? I hope it's not leaking already--the fridge is only about a year or so old.

However, her presence does deter me from grabbing a popsicle every time I pass by.

And, I decided that I needed Arby's for a cool supper.

While there I started reading Sherri Tepper's Gibbons' Decline and Fall. I've always liked her writing--and the messages in it. I expect to continue it this evening, since the TV lineup looks mundane, to put it mildly.

This one appears to be about "women's place" and is set (late 50s?) at a college near (I think) Washington D.C. I expect to be reading more of it this evening, unless there is something really worthwhile on TV. But did the sky fall? No--so I guess TV is same old, same old drivel.

I managed to miss the evening news, but the noon news had some clips of the oil balls starting to end up on Mississippi and Florida panhandle beaches.

Maybe tomorrow I'll get some yard work done before it gets too hot.
