However, it rained around lunchtime, cooling things off a bit, but adding to the humidity.
Right after I put food out on the porch for the critters I saw a very nervous raccoon come onto the porch. (It was raining.) She looked at me as though unsure whether I was a threat or not, then dug into the food. It was a mama, who really needed the food to keep up with the young ones. She didn't have them along, but it was quite obvious that there were young somewhere. I suppose she'll bring them here when they're a bit older. My nail clippers have gone into hiding, so I headed down to Walgreen's to get some more. That didn't take long, and I also brought home some ice cream. Unless it's teeming rain I'm going in to New Orleans tomorrow to pick up stuff that's been at Xavier for a while. Then I'll swing by Tulane to check on the status of the road repairs. It will be nice to see my Xavier friends again. We in the Gulf area are storm watching--and keeping the beads hot that s certain system doesn't turn into a Gulf tropical storm or worse. So--for the most part, just another IUD. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
