According to my e-mail, that's the first home game (albeit pre-season) of the Saints. I do NOT plan to watch that at home. I want to be in that number.
Other than that, it was a typical mid-summer Saturday. I took myself to PJ's to do household budget stuff (and other things) in peaceful coolness. And (of course) stopped at WalMart on the way home to get more critter food and one of their ready-made salads--which are a lot better than most of the local fast fooderies' salads. When I left for PJ's I startled four little masked "children" who were playing behind the trailer. They are really cute. I think their mama may have gone to other parts of the undeveloped area. That's one way to wean them--disappear. I'll know in a day or so. Today's paper was filled with information about the upcoming start of school. The public schools start about mid-August, or a bit later. Of course, they finish in early May. But the schools are air-conditioned. I'm not sure why they are starting so early--I think it's a bit earlier than last year. Maybe to have leeway to make up hope-we-don't-need-them storm days? Didn't do any yard stuff today--was busy with family bookkeeping etc. (And I wasn't really in the mood.) Another quiet Saturday just about gone by.
