I've talked about my neighbors before--the ones to whom I gave the Saints tickets, and who are expressing their appreciation by doing little repair "stuff" in the garage.

They were over again today--doing something more with the garage lighting system.

The wife is fascinated by the way bamboo really fills in space along a fence. I keep warning her that it grows very enthusiastically, but one of these days she'll be harvesting some of mine to get a nice secure "blocking" along their fence.

And I figured out a way to keep the bandage on my head in place without securing it under the chin. (It's called two barrette-type things.)

The temperature wasn't as high as recently. But it's September and time for it to begin dropping a bit.

At the moment there is no significant tropical activity in the Gulf.

The hurricane season officially ends November 1, and I can recall only one time (since living in the South) that there has been any post-"season" activity--and that was quite a few years ago when there was a bit of a threat around Thanksgiving.

I finished reading the Diana Mott Davidson book, so now I have to settle on a new one. I have plenty to choose from.

Tonight should be good sleeping--it's significantly cooler. I may need the light afghan, rather than a sheet.
