Except that the really oppressive heat seems to be on the wane--not by a lot, but some.
Today was mostly this and that around the house. And--supper at Arby's, since I had to pick some stuff up (no--not the literal kind of picking up, but picking up and then buying) at Walgreen's. Driving west from Arby's to Walgreen's was an absolute blinding killer with the setting sun. Before I got anything else, I bought some window cleaner and paper towels, so I could degrime my windows for phase two of driving into the setting sun to get home. It's only 7:30 and it's full dark outside. Summer is definitely about gone. Only another week or so till the daylight is less than the non-daylight. During WWII the United States stayed on daylight time year round--supposedly to save energy. It was called War Time. Great Britain went one better and was on double daylight--two hours difference. Another IUD almost gone. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
