Stopped at a Walgreen's on the way home. When I went for my Chase card it wasn't there.

Oh excrement!!!

When I got home I looked in my pants pocket (from yesterday) and it wasn't there.

Checked the bank statement, and no strange charges on it.

Looked again in my purse, and there it was.

Now it is back in my wallet where it belongs.

I like this particular card, because it has my picture on it. That would make it a bit harder for someone to use.

Anyway--I went in to Newcomb today and started in on another collection. These are always fun, as I gradually get to "know" the subject. This is a good-sized collection, so it will keep me busy for quite a while.

It was quiet there--it didn't look like they were having classes--maybe midterm??

At least the streets weren't blocked off for construction.

On the other hand, I wasn't sure I'd ever get there. The interstate was moving at a dead snail's pace for a LARGE part of the way. I figured things would be a bit better when I left the interstate.

No. They'd been playing crinkle-fender on the surface road too. I think I had about three blocks after the last of the tie-ups until I got to my turn.

Fortunately, the drive home was smooth sailing all the way. I guess it evens out in the long run.

Now that my little mysteries have been solved I guess I can veg out this evening--or what's left of it.

I plan on going in tomorrow also, so I don't want to stay up too late.

I'm hoping tomorrow is smooth sailing for the commute.
