More this and that.
I spent a quiet day at home, talking with the cats and my next door neighbor. She's found no sign of the porch cat that disappeared last week. She put signs up at the stop signs, but has heard nothing. I don't think Emma (the cat) was chipped. Both mine have been, but that's because one came from the shelter and the other went through the shelter's "initiation" as a feral cat. Tomorrow I have to decide between more archival work, or shovelling out the house (aka cleaning.) Whichever I choose, the alternative will still be around. At the moment I'm leaning much more toward Newcomb--the cleaning can wait a day. And there will be human company at Newcomb. This is a bye week for the Saints, so any planning I do for the weekend will be pretty open as to when I (plan to) do something. Weather continues its reward for the summer heat. It's flat out gorgeous. It does get cool enough at night that the furnace comes on, but I have some windows open during the day. And my incredibly unremarkable life continues.
