Did this and that till it was time to leave for the dr. appointment.

I was incredibly lucky and found a relatively close parking place. The building now housing my doctor has HORRIBLE parking facilities--especially if one has any impediments to walking.

Today the row with the 2 or 3 marked handicapped spots was totally closed off. I was lucky, however, and snagged a spot in the next row.

At least it was cool and I wasn't covered in sweat by the time I got inside.

It turned out that I saw my regular doctor after all. I have no idea how the front office got the names mixed. Maybe six months ago (when the appointment was made) my regular doctor was scheduled for a vacation or something. The nurse had no idea.

When I got home I let myself have a bit of a "sinking spell" then didn't do too much of anything for the rest of the afternoon.

When it was feline mealtime Spots made his appearance. I'll bet he's eating at other houses. I'm glad I have a collar on him, and think that the next time he "visits" I'll slip one of my many rabies tags that are lying around onto his collar--after first getting my phone number onto the back of the tag.

I spent some time finding out what, if anything, was different with my computer.

At one point I did something that made my entire mailbox--and address book--disappear. They're back now, and I'm not asking how or why.

I feel really fortunate to have found this computer guy. He's reasonable pricewise, and answers my dumb questions.

And he goes beyond the immediate problem and tweaks all sorts of things that are only mildly annoying to me. He doesn't seem to mind explaining stuff either.

Tomorrow is Friday already!!

I have done no gift buying yet. Guess the ones old enough to appreciate a piece of paper will get one of those. Or--maybe a prepaid credit card.

I've got more than a week to decide.

Oh yeah--I haven't sent out any cards either. Most everybody who would get a card stays in touch (more or less) electronically nowadays.

Remember--I have almost no immediate family--two kids, their spouses, and their children. That totals seven.

Oh well--one advantage of last minute (like 12/24) shopping is that there are some marvelous items with huge price reductions by then.

Not only was today unremarkable, it was also extremely blah.
