Yes, my car is still in the car hospital. I'm crossing fingers that it will be done by the weekend.

Meanwhile, the prescriptions still sit at Walgreens, and there was an automated call reminding me of that.

I shall pick them up tomorrow morning. I called a friend I see far too infrequently and "bribed" her with an offer for lunch. I'm looking forward to that. I think she mentioned Olive Garden as having an interesting special going. That's fine with me. Olive Garden is one of the few "regular" restaurants that does not put enough food in front of you for a small army that hasn't eaten in weeks.

Today was an almost blah day weatherwise--not raining, and not threatening, but about two steps away from a threat. Temperature, however, was nice, although it must have cooled down a bit because the furnace just cycled on.

The Word for the Day (from my calendar) is infra dig. It's an adjective meaning undignified--or being beneath one's dignity. See if you can squeeze that into casual conversation tomorrow. I don't think I've ever heard it or read it, or anything like it.

Aha! the sample usage (from the back of the calendar page:) "Apparently, drugstore-purchased shampoo is too infra dig for my glamorous sister--only the most expensive salon shampoo will do!"

You can tell that it has been a dull day when I am reduced to my daily calendar for "journal" content.

Back now to whatever I was doing before.
