6 PM and pitch dark outside.

I have a couple of cats giving me those soulful looks that say "I'm about to collapse from starvation" even though there is plenty of dry food available.

Another dull day, despite a quickie trip to the big W. I was quite low on cat/possum/raccoon kibble. And it was a good excuse to get out of the house.

We're actually having some winterish weather. No, not snow, not ice--but the furnace has cycled on several times during the day.

I'm writing this before I hear the evening news so there is nothing local to report, other than the somewhat cooler weather.

It sure is nice having natural gas. We've always had it here, but in some of the other places we've lived we had only bottled gas. I don't recall ever running out, but it was always a possibility--especially in Wyoming.

I haven't had the TV on for a while, but I'm assuming the world is still as it was earlier today.

Nothing more to say today--and the cats seem to be sizing me up as to edibility.
