I thought I heard a knocking from the front of the house, so I hobbled there as quickly as I could--and it was a pizza delivery person.

He was WAAAY off on the number. And I think he may have been heading in the wrong direction as the numbers run.

A dull day, unlesss you count the meteorology lessons on the TV most of the day.

The last time we had snow that stuck for more than a few hours was back when Anna was a baby.

Snow is NOT expected in this southeastern part of Louisiana, but icy roads are likely to be the norm tomorrow morning. And lots of schools and colleges are closing for the day. So it will be another at home day for me.

When the pizza delivery kid comes to the house by mistake--and that's the most exciting thing that has happened all day--you know that it's currently dullsville.

I did make a quick trip to the Sav-A-Lot (nearby small grocery/market) for silly things like dog/raccoon biscuits.

And (of course) the cats are incredibly friendly. Spots has been outside a couple of times, but as soon as he comes in he wants me to pet the cold air out of his fur. This is a time when he probably figures that the price of having a nice warm house (not to mention regular food) was well worth it.

The garage door is open enough for critters to get out of any wind, and the ones that climb up into the rafters can find soft stuff to sleep on.

I have no plans to go in to New Orleans tomorrow. There will likely be slick spots on the roads, and driving on ice is not part of the general driving skill set down here. By Monday things should be back to normal, weatherwise.

I can't exactly call today an IUD, but it was very low on the excitement list.
